This is the 30 Hour Child Care Basics course required by the WA State Department of Early Learning.

About this course

This course is designed to be completed in no less than 30 hours. It includes modules on the following:

  4.  Curriculum and Learning Environments
  5.  Family & Community Partnerships
  6.  Healthy Practices: Safety & Wellness
  7. Healthy Practices: Nutrition & Fitness
  8.  Interaction & Guidance
  9.  Program Planning & Development
  10.  Professional Practice

There are 10 modules to complete to earn your certificate. Along the way and at the conclusion of each module, you will complete quizzes to show your proficiency and understanding of the material presented. You must pass each quiz with a 100% score to move on to the next page or module.
